Wish You Were Here...

So you think you can tell
Heaven from hell,
Blue skys from pain
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do u think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How i wish, how i wish you were here
We are just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Running over the same old ground
What have we found?
The same old fears
Wish you were here...

Absolutely My own...

Can you give me back
The faded smiles of my lips?
My spontaneous,ceaseless words
With which we came closer

Can you give me back
My humming songs,my butterfly wings
My resolved thoughts
With which i wanted to put my life on trial

My tender heart
Whose delicacy you hit hard and wrapped me round
My rainy heart with which the rainy season was inducted with dreams
Can you give me back

Perhaps, you can't give me back anything
because you were playing a decieving game
You were destroying my brittle feelings of faith
Can you give me that simple life again
That ideal world..
Which is absolutely my own

Glass Bangles

Glass bangles;look pretty don't they?
Fragile and beautiful and easily breakable
Just like little girls
Pakhi was a girl eight year's old
But her feathers were broken
Before she could learn to fly
To save her family's name
She was to be a good little girl
And not say anything to anyone
Her childhood crushed;her innocence stained
Can she trust anyone again?
Fate is cruel and man crueller still
She doesn't play now with dolls and houses
But sketches monsters in her notebook
